Administrative Support

Position Title: Administrative Support
Project: Anointed Food Bank Program: Enhancing Nutritional Health in South Carolina's Low-Income Schools
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Duration: Full-Time, 12 months with potential for renewal.
Reports to: Program Coordinator (John W. Bryant) 

SENIOR RESEARCHER

OVERVIEW

 As a Senior Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in the Anointed Food Bank Program, focusing on enhancing nutritional health in South Carolina's low-income schools. This position requires a blend of expertise in nutrition, food security, and education, as well as a strong commitment to community service and research excellence. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Lead and conduct comprehensive research activities related to nutritional health and food security in low-income educational settings.
  2. Develop and implement research methodologies and data collection strategies.
  3. Analyze data and prepare detailed reports and publications.
  4. Collaborate with team members, including graduate students and other researchers, to ensure research objectives are met.
  5. Engage with community stakeholders to gather insights and disseminate findings.
  6. Contribute to the development of educational materials and programs based on research findings.
  7. Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice and guidance.
  8. Ensure compliance with ethical research standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

 

  • PhD in Nutrition, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in research, preferably in areas related to nutrition or food security.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Published Work in Peer-Review Journals

Graduate Student Research Assistant

OVERVIEW

 As a Graduate Student Research Assistant, you will support the research activities of the Anointed Food Bank Program. This role is ideal for students pursuing a graduate degree in fields related to nutrition, education, or public health, who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in community-based research. 

Key Responsibilities:

  

  1. Assist in the development and execution of research methodologies.
  2. Conduct data collection through various methods, including surveys, interviews, and field observations.
  3. Support data analysis and contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations.
  4. Help in organizing and conducting community engagement activities.
  5. Collaborate with the research team to meet project goals.
  6. Attend project meetings and assist in administrative tasks related to the research.
  7. Contribute to the development of educational materials under the guidance of the Senior Researcher.

Qualifications:

 

  • Enrollment in a graduate program in Nutrition, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
  • Interest in research related to nutrition, food security, or education.
  • Good organizational and data management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to community-based research.
